In some cases, a severe toothache may be a sign of pulp involvement which requires a root canal.

In most cases, a toothache can be taken care of with a filling. We offer two types of fillings, depending on your budget and your needs.

  • Amalgam fillings
  • Composite Resins or Tooth-Colored Fillings, also called bondings

Amalgam and composite fillingsAmalgam fillings are traditional silver fillings made of a combination of metals which have been used for many years. Dental amalgam is durable and affordable so it’s a popular choice for most cavities.

Composite resins, or tooth-colored fillings are another option which have become popular in recent years for aesthetic reasons. Composite fillings are great for restorative work in front teeth or anywhere in the mouth. While these fillings are cosmetically pleasing, they may not be covered by all insurance plans.
